Service Engineer | Electrically Biased


Based from Genovate Power Solutions West Yorkshire main site Leeds. The successful candidate will integrate into our service team, and support our clients across the UK with their STOR (short term operating reserve) diesel reciprocating engine power station assets & associated plant equipment, along with any third-party sites and assets as per the business’ operational requirements.

Role and Duties:

  • To undertake scheduled maintenance on a number of diesel & gas fueled generators & associated equipment.
  • To respond to breakdowns and reactive based works as and when required and to ensure that   site generator function and availability is reported to the Service Management team accordingly.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults using a combination of technical knowledge, diagnostic processes and testing/instrumentation equipment.
  • Involvement in generator installations and commissioning as and when required.

Skills/Experience Required:

10 years minimum experience diesel- & gas-powered generators
Experience of interrogating and fault-finding on generators
Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work cooperatively with others to complete tasks and implement process
Accurate report /record-keeping
A full UK driving license

 

Qualification

Electrical/Mechanical engineering City & Guilds or equivalent.
